so the big news is that FreeSat from the BBC/ITV was launched on May the 6th
2008. FreeSat does not mean you will be able to get the BBC's/ITV's on a smaller
dish, the channels you receive on a BBC/ITV FreeSat receiver, come from exactly
the same Satellite/Transponder on the Astra2D satellite, as those you receive
using a $KY Digibox. This means the costly problems of receiving the BBC channels
in Spain, are unchanged, you still need a BIG dish. The channel listings are
near identical to those available, on a standard $KY Digibox installation (with
a $KY FreeSat Card). The big plus with FreeSat from the BBC & ITV is that
you can receive their HDTV programs with NO subscription. To get the same HD
channels on $KY you have to pay £10 a month.

Please
be aware that the "TV Guide" on a FreeSat receiver functions in a
very similar way to a $KY Digibox, but does look and feel different, which some
long term $KY users, need time adjusting to. Please also be aware that unlike
a $KY Digibox, there is no RF Out on a Humax Foxsat receiver, so there is no
opportunity to have a second TV located in another room, hard wired to the main
receiver.

To receive
FreeSat HDTV here for free, you will need a HDTV Television*
& HDTV Receiver, Invacom Offset Focus Twin Invacom LNB and a 1.35 Metre
dish. Our package price includes installation and testing, and comes with one
years RTB warranty.
*HDTV Televisions have a HDMI connector socket as standard.
"HD Ready" TV's means they have a higher resolution than standard
resolution TV's, but are not full HD. Full HDTV resolution Televisions have
a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels, and will have a much sharper picture than
just "HD Ready" TV's, along with much greater depth. Well worth seeing
for yourself, if you can. Although it must be said that just because a TV says
it is full HDTV or HD Ready, it does not mean to say that all HD or HD Ready
TV's look sharp or have brilliant pictures. My recommendation is, go to a shop
with a big range of TV's on display, and spend some time looking at the pictures
on the TV's on display, importantly at the sort of viewing distance's &
angles you will normally being watching your TV at, and judge for yourself.
I have seen pictures on TV's that look great from a distance, but look horrible,
close up. Do a test drive!!!!
